Now let's be honest.
"Plattenbau" or better Buildings made with precast concrete slabs are horrible. I think we all agree.
Frankfurt is different. It has a mad mix of modern futuristic glass buildings - which I had to visit of course - the MyZeil Shopping Mall.
To buildings with a visible similarity of Bavarian architecture, the Romans have travelled far.
When I was a kid, well and teenager, I did avoid the financial center as I thought it would be rather industrial. Having visited the town close to my birthplace eventually in 2014, a part of me fell in love with the mix of New York-like skyscrapers and Bavarian rustic facades and the locals that are chilling at the bank of river "Main".
You sure see what I mean when you scroll all the way down.
